NEW POST, 5-7-18, DUE TO STATE AND FEDERAL FIRE RESTRICTIONS, WE WILL NO LONGER ALLOW OPEN BURN PERMITS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.  Once we have recieved enough moisture, then the following requirements will apply.   Be sure to secure the proper permit from the District. Include a google map or other map indicating the location of the burn if possible.  Upon submittal of the permit to the Station of your area, then our Tubac staff will inspect the location of the burn to ensure that the burn will not threaten structures or has a chance of escaping.  The burn permits are only good for one calendar year.   At the time of the burn, be sure to contact Tubac Fire and the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office advising when the burn will begin.  As always burn with care.
