Wildland Fire




Thank you for your inquiries regarding the fire in the Santa Rita Mountains. Tubac Fire contacted the Nogales Ranger Station and was advised the following:





 
This is on US Forest Service land and they have crews hiking to the location this morning. The Josephine Fire is approximately 120 acres. The Forest Service has deployed approximately 60 people to the fire for full suppression activities and will request additional resources if needed.
 
We will keep you updated as we receive information.


Tubac Fire District has built a very successful wildland fire operations over the years.  Key personnel within the department are regarded in the wildland community as subject matter experts in the field.   The District can respond with engines, medical units, logistical and technology support.
